I am going to put up a longer post about the holidays at home this year, but for now, I'm just going to post some goofy pictures we took last night.
Last night was the big Kenyon-family Christmas dinner, a day late to accommodate different schedules. I thought it would be fun to try to set up a homemade photobooth, so I put some wrapping paper up on a wall with painter's tape as a backdrop, used a strand of lights for extra festiveness, set Martin's camera with Dad's flash on a tripod, and pulled out a bunch of props from our dress-up box.
It turned out pretty well! Next time I would try to find some paper that had a matte finish (or maybe use fabric instead) and make it a bigger backdrop. It would be really awesome to find a cheap remote-control for the camera, too. (Do those exist??)
We knew the kids would love it, but everyone else seemed to as well. Might be our funniest new family Christmas tradition...

...and THIS ONE. (Pretty sure the moral is that you can't go wrong with a mullet wig.) |
Stunning, I know.
